Xposed is a event designed to educate students about the dangers of fentanyl. The event will feature an immersive AR experience that will have them encounter scenarios involving fentanyl exposure.

Xposed will move to schools around the country and have

students understand the dangers of fentanyl.

The AR Experience

In the AR experience Xposed, players take on a role of a detective investigating a small town plagued by mysterious deaths and a rapidly spreading sickness. As they go deeper, players uncover hidden clues and piece together evidence by interacting with real-world objects and scenarios. The investigation reveals a web of secrets eventually pointing to fentanyl as the culprit.

The Blacklight Room

At the climax of the game, players are guided into a blacklight room where a shocking revelation unfolds... they've been unknowingly exposed to fentanyl! Under the ultraviolet glow, their hands illuminate with traces of a liquid that had covertly coated objects they interacted with throughout the game. This striking moment drives home the unsettling reality of how easily fentanyl exposure can occur, leaving a lasting impact on players.

The theme of Xposed draws inspiration from the concept of an x-ray, an invisible force that reveals what’s hidden beneath the surface. Just like an x-ray helps diagnose what the eye can't see, Xposed is designed to uncover the often-overlooked dangers of fentanyl. Our mission is to expose the truth behind this powerful synthetic opioid, pulling back the curtain on how it’s disguised, distributed, and devastating communities. Through immersive storytelling and investigative discovery, Xposed empowers individuals to see the threat clearly and understand the real-life consequences of fentanyl exposure before it’s too late.

Inspiration

Fentanyl.png
award.png

The goal of this project was to design a political poster addressing a current issue in the United States. I chose to focus on the ongoing fentanyl crisis, particularly the alarming rise in counterfeit pills laced with fentanyl that are being used to harm, and often kill, unsuspecting individuals.

The poster depicts a gun case filled with various weapons, but instead of traditional ammunition, it holds common counterfeit pills tainted with fentanyl. This visual metaphor equates fentanyl to a firearm, both are lethal when misused. The symbolism also highlights how fentanyl, like guns, poses a deadly threat and is frequently trafficked across borders, contributing to a growing public health emergency.

Out of several posters I created, this particular one was selected to be featured in an art exhibition alongside work from my classmates. It went on to win the Phoenix Award, an honor given to a piece that initially showed little promise during development but ultimately transformed into a standout work, rising from the ashes to earn its place in the show.

Next, I was tasked with transforming one of my posters into a festival or event aimed at raising awareness and generating support for a related cause. That’s how Xposed was created, an event designed not only to raise funds for victims and support organizations, but also to educate teens and students across the United States about the dangers of fentanyl.
